So if you are asking, “what could be so amazing about a watch band?”.
Go away!
You are on the wrong blog.
I am reviewing the “Silicone Rubber Deployment Watch band” sold by Countycomm.com. First the legal stuff, I received no promotional consideration from Countycomm for the watch band and it was purchased for my own use with my own funds.
The watch band is made from silicone rubber which is considered non-toxic and great for people with latex allergies, it is also resistant to UV rays. This is important to me since I live in Arizona and love to be outside. The band is available in two sizes; 20mm and 22mm and in the following colors; black, olive, brown, orange and green. I choose the green. This is an extremely comfortable watch band, wet or dry. It does not get funky smelling like the nylon bands are prone to. I have used it as my everyday band paired with my Timex Expedition (shock resistant) watch. This has turned out to be a great combination. This is a very cool accessory if you want to change the look of your watch. The silicone is soft and comfortable, I was doubtful at first as to how long it would last because it is so soft and comfortable. Two years later, I no longer worry about how tough it is. This watch band has taken a lot of abuse and it still looks great.

It has a push button release and flip lock clasp, which makes taking it on and off very easy and keeps it quite secure. I have yet to have it pop open on me.
The one adventurous part of this watch band is it’s fitting and installation. Watch the installation video on youtube for help with this. You have to cut it with a razor blade, so if you are not good with tools (“Ham Fisted’), then this probably isn’t your watch band. I took my time with the cutting of the straps. I started long and kept fitting it until it fit right. My suggestion is to leave it a little long and on the outside barrel pin holes so that you can shorten it by moving the strap tighter by moving the strap into the inner barrel pin holes rather than cutting it more. I almost made mine to tight with no adjustment left on the strap. Here is a link to their video describing how to shorten the watch band:
I have had this watch band for several years and it has proven to be comfortable and tough. I would highly recommend purchasing this watch band from countycomm. They have a great collection of items that guys like us have to have, go check them out at Countycomm.com. (remember, it’s 2 m’s).
